Clean Lady Bird Lake

I loved being part of a community effort to make the lake and trail area more clean. We spent most of our time in the Waller Creek area but felt it needed even more attention after our 2 hr shift was over. It was our first time participating and I'd recommend telling volunteers to wear waterproof rain/work/wader boots as there was a lot of trash in shallow areas of the water that would have been easier to walk around and pick up. I'm excited to come back and participate in more events!

Loved it, saw the impact we made and would definitely like to do it again.

My original location was cancelled, so I joined the Samsung group nearby. It was windy and cold, but we got a lot of trash and some recyclables. I'm still finding lots of styrofoam----many small pieces of styrofoam cups. I wish businesses would quit using styrofoam.
