Clean Lady Bird Lake

Greetings Volunteers, Thank you for volunteering for Keep Austin Beautiful's Clean Lady Bird Lake event on Saturday, February 16th, 2019! You'll be joining hundreds of volunteers at 25 locations around the lake to give some extra care to the lake and trails. You have signed up to participate in the Joe's Crab Shack Led by Hotels for Hope - Waterway cleanup. Lone Star Kayaks will provide boats. **Please note we have a policy with waterway sites: If you do not arrive by 9:15 on the day of the cleanup, then you automatically forfeit your boat spot and it will be made available to other volunteers.** Your Lake Leader for this site will be Natalie Meyersick with Hotels for Hope and she will have your cleanup supplies, helpful safety guidelines, and further instructions for you. Event Details Date: Saturday, February 16th, 2019 Cleanup Time: 9am-11am Starting Location: Joe's Crab Shack (600 E Riverside Dr, Austin, TX 78704) Things to Bring: A FULL bottle of water and ample sun protection (Sunscreen is also provided if you forget!) We'll Provide: Cleanup supplies, snacks, and a prize for the most unique object found at your site Keep an eye out for unusual pieces of trash, as there will be a contest for the "Most Unusual Object" at the end of the cleanup! If you are no longer able to attend, please cancel your shift at your earliest convenience to re-open those spots for registration. Join us afterwards for a social hosted by REI at the Deep Roots Garden for DIY chocolate covered strawberries and goodies from 11:00 a.m. - 1 p.m. Thanks again for being involved in making Austin such a unique and beautiful place to live and experience!
