Community Engagement Day: Barbara Jordan Elementary School

Friday, October 12th, 2018 from 9:00am to 11:00am (CT)

About

Join Keep Austin Beautiful staff for a morning of service at Barbara Jordan Elementary School! Keep Austin Beautiful and community members will lead volunteers in a trash cleanup around the school and along the street. Volunteers will learn about the history of the area and the importance of keeping our school areas clean.

The work done by volunteers will directly benefit the large community that uses this area as well as helping maintain the school for many kids that attend Barbara Jordan.

Volunteers should come prepared to work outside on uneven terrain. Please be sure to dress for the weather and wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty or wet. Bring a reusable water bottle and stay hydrated. Be ready to work hard and have fun!
