Southwood Williamson Creek Adopters KAB Love Where You Live Day Cleanup Keep Austin Beautiful Southwood Neighborhood Williamson Creek Adopters Love Where You Live Day Cleanup Saturday February 11, 2023 9am to 11am Signup and Save the Date! The Southwood Neighborhood Association Williamson Creek Adopters, an Adopt-a-Creek Group, will meet at the curb by the Emerald Wood Community Garden/Tom Donovan Nature Trail at Williamson Creek Central Greenbelt at 611 Emerald Wood Drive and walk down to Williamson Creek together.  We will be working to help clean up the section of the creek we adopted to honor the legacy and continue the stewardship of Tom Donovan.  Please join us.  We will have trash bags and pickup tools available to borrow.  Please register via the GivePulse website, so we know who to expect and so we can show our neighborhood’s involvement in honoring Tom.  This work day will focus on trash removal from Williamson Creek.  Parking is on-street, so carpooling is recommended if possible.  There is Poison ivy in the area, so you may want to wear pants and bring your work gloves.  Please wear closed-toe shoes.  Hope to see y’all there! Keep Austin Beautiful posted: Mark your calendars!  To promote safe and fun volunteer activities, we developed Love Where You Live Day, an event that invites individuals and small groups to beautify the areas around their homes and neighborhoods every second Saturday of the month. How can we share photos? We love seeing photos!   Before and after pics are the best.  Please use the hashtags #KeepAustinBeautiful and #LWYLKAB and tag us on social media – @KeepAustinBeautiful (Facebook and Instagram) and @KAB_Austin (Twitter).  Don’t have social media? We had an awesome crew of volunteers! Thank you for all of your hard work. Y'all went above and beyond. Thanks to your hard work there are 21 bags of trash and 700 pounds of bulk garbage no longer in the creek. Every piece of trash we picked up makes a difference. You all should be very proud of the stewardship you provided. Thank you! - Anna
