About
Join us for Keep Austin Beautiful Day, a city-wide day of service spanning 100+ sites in 31 zip codes in the greater Austin area. We are excited to welcome you to this project where a Site Leader will meet you with supplies to collect litter and recycling while ensuring all safety precautions are addressed.
This event will focus on picking up trash from the perimeter of our neighborhood: On Braker Lane to Dessau, On Dessau Road to Braker Lane, the Watershed area on February Drive, Plaza Drive near the park and Cricket Hollow Apartments and I-35 from Plaza Drive to River Oaks Drive.
We will meet at North Oaks Park at 9:30 am to pick up supplies and will divide into groups to tackle the different areas. Trash-grabbers, garbage bags and gloves will be supplied for use throughout the pick up and then we will meet back at the park to drop off the supplies and confirm where we have left trash bags between 11:15-11:30 am Keep Austin Beautiful has arranged for trash to be hauled away after the pick up.
Please invite your neighbors and friends. We are looking forward to seeing these cleanliness of these areas improve.
We are looking for a landscape company to mow Dessau Road from May Drive to June Drive, ideally as a volunteer who we could off free advertising in our neighborhood newsletters and online for mowing behind about 6 homes. If you know of a company or individual who would like to volunteer, please contact Sarah, the host of this event at newcnabeaut@gmail.com
