About
Join Keep Austin Beautiful in helping to clean up stray litter at Onion Creek Metropolitan Park North! We will take our cleanup along the Southeastern edge of Onion Creek Park, collecting litter and debris as we go. You do not need to collect supplies, as Keep Austin Beautiful will bring them to the event, or designate an organizer to bring the supplies to the site.
We will collect litter and recycling together while taking all safety precautions available to address pandemic concerns; though this is an outdoor event, masks are required to participate in this cleanup and we encourage social distancing.

Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
- Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.
- Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.

We are keeping an eye on the weather - if the weather seems too rough on the day of, we will reschedule the event. Until then, we intend to follow through with the event as-planned. I will update the event if it seems to be a wash (pun intended) due to the cold and rain! Stay warm out there, I will keep you all posted.
