Plant Pollinator Plugs and Shrubs at Valley Park

Saturday, May 22nd, 2021 from 8:30am to 12:00pm

About

Volunteers will work alongside Great River Greening staff planting and protecting important native plugs and shrub species at Valley Park. This planting will continue restoration work being done throughout the corridor adding important pollinator resources and habitat. Protective barriers may also be added to the newly planted shrubs to protect them from deer browsing.

This event will take place over the course of three shifts spread out over the morning and across the site, to ensure that we can maintain social distancing and minimize the number of people gathering. To ensure that as many people as possible can participate in the event, we ask that you only sign up to attend one shift. If the event fills up, please sign up to be added to the waitlist - if there are cancellations, you will automatically be registered.

There are no facilities available at this site, however, a portable sanitation unit will all be available nearby. There will be no food provided at this event to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Please bring your own lunch, snacks, or whatever you may need.

Once you have registered via GivePulse, organizers from Great River Greening will approve your registration and you will receive confirmation. You will continue to receive event reminders as the event nears. If you have further questions, please contact volunteer@greatrivergreening.org.

If you are a minor registering yourself, you will need to provide an email address in the "Linked Survey" box so we can send the Youth Liability Waiver to your parent or guardian. If you are an adult bringing a minor, you can add them as an attendee and simply check the "Youth Waiver" box upon registering. If you are an adult registering yourself and another adult, you will need to enter their unique email address to the Attendee registration, so they can confirm their registration and sign a waiver.
