Walsh Tarlton Ln./ Cedar Creek Elementary: Keep Austin Beautiful Day

The Cedar Creek Elementary Cub Scout Pack 91, Cedar Creek Elementary Dads Club, and Cedar Creek Elementary Girl Scouts have previously partnered to adopt a 1.0 mile segment of Walsh Tarlton Ln. (from Bee Caves Rd. to Tamarron Blvd.) as part of Keep Austin Beautiful's Adopt-A-Street Program.   In celebration of "Keep Austin Beautiful Day",  the groups will be conducting a community cleanup of Walsh Tarlton Ln. and the Cedar Creek Elementary campus on Sunday, April 14, 2019, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. 

Volunteers are need to pick up trash, debris, recyclables,  mow grass, cut brush, and eradicate weeds ( lawn mowers, weedeaters, and brush clearing tools are solicited). On cleanup day, volunteers with meet and sign in at Cedar Creek elementary, 3301 Pinnacle Rd., where detailed instructions,  safety guidelines. cleaning supplies and safety equipment will be distributed.  Volunteers will be assigned to 1 of 4 segments:

Segment 1:  Cedar Creek Elementary Campus
Segment 2: Bee Caves Rd. to Wilderness Dr.
Segment 3: Wilderness Dr. to Texas Star Ln.
Segment 4: Texas Star Ln. to Tamarron Blvd.

A 1:1 guardian to child ratio is strongly encouraged during cleanup.

Requirement Details
Volunteers should come prepared to work outside on uneven terrain. Please be sure to dress for the weather and wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty or wet. Closed toed shoes are required and long pants are recommended. We also do not provide water bottles so please bring a full reusable water bottle to stay hydrated.
